Why we built Zen Zones
Recovery and movement time shouldn't be optional—or bookable. Yet most calendars treat every block the same: if it's "free," someone can book it. That's how deep work gets eaten, lunch becomes a back-to-back, and rest never happens.
Zen Zones are Calenzi's way of making recovery first-class. You define blocks for movement, decompression, or focus, and we keep them off your public availability. Clients see only the slots you've marked as bookable. Your calendar stays honest about when you're actually available—and when you're protecting time for yourself.
We built this because we kept hearing the same thing: "I block time for the gym / walk / nothing, but it still gets booked." The fix isn't more discipline; it's a system that respects those blocks by default.
